Truth…I started a blog called “A Great Day’s Work” because I wanted to work from home and be my own boss. Guess what? I did just that! You know why? I believe I can. I believe in me. I know I can do it.
Truth…I believe there really are enough hours in the day if we focus on what is truly important to us, gather support, have a plan, and limit the timewasters. Because I believe in this theory, I’m creating “A Great Day’s Work.”
Truth…I deeply care about helping businesses and individuals to succeed in the workplace. I want to help YOU reach your potential as an administrative professional. I want to help YOU reach your potential as someone who uses or should be using an administrative professional. The intent of this blog is to provide administrative professionals and their bosses with resources so that you can both be even more effective in the workplace. I will bring the resources to you, share insights, and provide you the tools so you can be the best that you can possibly be!
Years ago I had the opportunity to hear Cathy Greenberg, PhD, author of What Happy Women Know, speak at a conference in San Francisco, CA. Later that day I stood in line to purchase her book and to thank her for a great presentation. Over the next couple of days, I read her book and was thankful I did. In her book Cathy Greenberg said, “Happy women know you can’t control your destiny, but you can participate in it.”
Before making the commitment to start “A Great Day’s Work,” I enlisted the support of my family, friends, and coworkers. Although I have no idea what the future holds for “A Great Day’s Work,” I do know I’m excited for the journey and cannot wait to participate in it!
Today, I invite YOU to join me on this journey as we explore together the important role that administrative professionals play in today’s workplace and why you taking personal responsibility and being proactive is key to your success!
Dare…I dare you to reach your greatest potential by taking personal responsibility for your career today!
